Working on our compositions...

During our second rehearsals we continued to work with our bands and we continued to work on our original composition and started to get the guitars and other instrumentation put in at this point it is beginning to sound really good and starting to come together and sound like a song. The song is far from finished and we also need to start working on getting the song able to play live as well as the recorded version. During the second lesson we worked on recording some potential ideas for our 2nd song and started working on making some chord progressions. Eventually I wrote a chord progression and we got it played into ‘Logic Pro’ we started playing around with some 7th chords to make it sound a bit different and sound more mellow and bright. We also recorded some bass guitar into the song along with the guitar parts. As a band we decided to start the songs and go back to them to finish. By doing this we feel that we have done the hard part which is thinking of the songs and getting the ideas down and recorded. Overall, I am happy with the band arrangements and am happy with the bands progress in composing original pieces.
