This week I have started my research and have completed some in depth research on dynamic microphones. This has helped me understand how the dynamic microphone works and has helped with understanding the purposes and uses for them. Dynamic microphones are most commonly found on the live stages and in events as they do not require phantom power. They are also great for the fact that they are in the cardioid polar pattern this means they primarily pick up from the front of the microphone which is great for live vocals. This prevents background noise bleeding onto the microphone and reduces the risk of feedback.

Next week, I am planning to research about condenser microphones and how they work. Along with the common uses for condenser microphones.
