Today, I handed in my unit 10 project. This means that I can now continue and work towards my unit 12 and 13. This is the project that gives me my overall grade for my second year of college. This is the grade that affects the universities I go too. This is the most important project of my time at college. This is why I am getting started on it early and giving my self the longest time to develop and work on it to get it to the highest possible standard I can. The next step for me is too work on my unit 12, this is my proposal form and plans for my FMP. This will give me the plans and perimeters for my project and allow me to pursue with my research and actual project.
So far, I have been recording some rough demos/ scratch tracks, to help me when I am doing the real track recordings. From doing this I, along with my unit 10 I have learnt a lot of technique and tricks I would not have necessarily have known if I hadn't of done these recordings. For example: I have learnt to use the 'buses' as the output to add effects such as reverb and EQ. by doing this it affects all of the channel and changes the sound of the channel. I have also learnt to use the 'sends' to develop and enhance the sounds of a particular part of the channel. After working with the buses and effects such as reverb, I have developed the mix and recordings of the demos and made them sound considerably better. These skills that I have learnt is something that I will take with me to my unit 13 proje
