Summer Term and Unit 8 project.

Today is the first day back from Easter Holiday and i’m massively trying to get to top of all the work I have left to do. The Summer term is mainly going to be focusing on Unit 8. In order to be able to just focus on unit 8, I need to be completely finished with all of the other work I have left to do. Unit 2 is the unit I want to finish first as that is my composition project. I have started all of them and most of them are nearly finished. The Folk song and the pop genre songs are finished although they need to be mixed and panned of which to do that I need to go into one of the studios so that I can use the monitor speakers, as my headphones are not good enough for mixing with. The song left to do is the disco track and I have done the majority of it I need to add in some other instrumentation to fill out the song and also I need to add some melody lines. Once I have completed this I need to write the evaluation for all of the songs and then, unit 2 will be complete. Units 5 and 6 are nearly complete and need to be finish in the band we play in on a monday and requires us to perform a couple of cover songs and to perform an original song that we have composed as a band. Of which once we have done this that will mean that Units 5 and 6 are complete. Unit 7 also requires a little bit more work. For this we need to perform 2 songs as part of an audition. I also need to do a powerpoint presentation as part of the planning towards our unit 8 project. This will then be all of my work complete for the other units. Then, I can completely focus on the Unit 8 project. It is important for unit 8 that I track the whole process as to what I have done towards the project and write about everything I do and why. This is going to take a lot of focus and time so I don’t want anything of the other work distracting me.
