Still working on our compositions...

During the first lesson of our rehearsals day we had a man come in to talk to us about the importance of hearing protection and what the effects of not having hearing protection in can cause. This was very interesting and has definitely opened my eyes to the danger of sound and how we can prevent from damage now by wearing ear plugs. After this session we went into rehearsals and worked on our composition to try and progress and work towards getting them nearer to a finished product. In this session we recorded the guitar parts and starting thinking about how we could add a melodic top line. In this session we had another member join the band, our new member is a vocalist and will help our band express the melodies as we can display them through lyrics. We have decided as a band that the vocalist will start by writing some lyrics and we will all contribute to getting the full lyrics ready, as the lyrics are a very hard part to write. This rehearsal seemed to go very quickly and it was the end of the lesson very quickly. We got some work done but it was mainly tying up loose ends and getting focus on what we will be doing next.
