One more rehearsal session, before the gig...

1 more rehearsal session, before the gig.

Today’s session we went through the songs the most we ever have before. At the start of the rehearsals we worked on Master Blaster as that is the song we always struggle to get all the way through. The bit that we struggle with is between the 2nd guitar solo, and to the end. Once we ironed out the creases for 'Master blaster' we did a run through of the Amy Winehouse song ‘You Know I’m No Good’ this song we are pretty good at, so we only went through it a couple of times. We then moved onto the last song which was ‘Make You Feel My Love’ which is our best song. So we spent the shortest amount of time of this song.

Unfortunately, after the break at 3 o’clock the rehearsals never really picked back up again, A lot of focus was lost and concentration went out of the window. We are practiced through parts of the song but rehearsals were not as effective. Thankfully, we ran through the songs well in the first part of the session so I don’t feel like the whole rehearsal was a complete waste, although the last 1hr 30mins could’ve be used more efficiently.

My plan for the next week is to rehearse all the songs at home and make sure they are as good as they can be and use a metronome to ensure I am at the right tempo and make sure I stay in time. I also want to make sure that the bands instagram account is kept up to date to ensure that the marketing for the band is going well and that the band is being promoted for the gig to try and attract an audience.

I also need to work on my cover for my composition project brief and work pn trying to get that as accurate as I can.
