As we move into November, The gig seems to be coming around very quickly! In around 4 weeks, I will be standing on the stage with my band performing the set in front of bar full of people. Although I am slightly nervous about the whole situation i'm also excited as June was the last time I had a performance like this and despite this being my first performance with this band i'm sure it will all go perfectly.

During Rehearsals, we have been learning a new song called "Master Blaster" by Stevie Wonder, the song is going smoothly at the moment and we have made the most progress with it out of all the songs we have done. Now we are working on our 3rd song we are building up a bit more of a repertoire and are most of the way to having our complete setlist. Ideally, we would like to find 1 or 2 more songs that we can perform that are slightly simpler in structure as we don't have a lot of time left. Songs that have 4 chords are typically easier to learn as the structure is very repetitive and loops throughout the song.

Our setlist at the moment is made up of "Master blaster", "100 degrees" by Zoology and "You know i'm no good" by Amy Winehouse. The songs are all in the overall genre of rhythm and Blues and Soul Music.

I am looking forward to performing these songs as they are all songs that I have not played before.

Wish us luck and see you at DUKE'S!!!
