Nearly 6 weeks till the Live Gig.

Todays band rehearsal was very similar to usual and we spent the time working on the first composition and trying to add a ‘B’ section to make the song sound more interesting and give slightly more contrast rather than just using the same chord progression over on repeat. Working on a ‘B’ section was difficult as we had to make sure that the 2 parts transitioned nicely and worked alongside each other. Members of the group contributed and thought it would be an interesting idea to change up the tempo along with the time signature and use a time signature that was not one of the common ones. (4/4, 6/8, 3/4 , 12/8) and make a time signature that was very abstract. These did make it difficult for us all to stay in time and is something we have worked on to adjust as I think it would be too hard to lock in and get perfectly ready for our live performance. I think for the ‘B’ section we will try and change up the chord progression but keep everything else the same as the feel for the music we want to remain as very ambient and chilled.
