Today we did a full run through and check off everything, including sounds check and also just generally knowing where everything is going to go, and the number of cables we need etc. We began setting up around 12.30pm so that we had time to set up and go through some of the songs from each band. By 2pm we were ready to go through and sound check people, so we called up each band in order of the running order and got each of them to play through a song so that we could test it and see what needed to be improved on. From this, we found that it would be easier and more efficient to run the guitars that were going to be using the Firehawk through the Katana amp or straight into the PA, as the Firehawk was causing trouble to run through the PA. During this run through, we went through each act performing one song each. This helped us to establish what had to go everywhere and the issues we may occur on the night of the gig. We also familiarised ourselves with the equipment we will be using. These pictures reflect the rehearsal we had the day before the gig, where we went through all the sound checking and line checking for the gig and got used to using the XR18. The pictures show the equipment we used for the gig and how we used in rehearsals. This definitely helped with my confidence before the gig as we had already rehearsed getting everything ready and set up. From this, I did learn that we all needed to do our bit towards setting up and we needed to concentrate to get everything set up in time.
The last image shows the equipment ready in H3, waiting for us to load up the van. These are the equipment we used.
