Today we continued to work towards the gig, and rehearsing the songs more and more to get them tight and seamless ready for the gig. Today we worked on ‘Like a Stone’ by Audioslave. After rehearsing this a couple of times and we were making no progress we decided to remove it from the setlist and work towards another song. We later worked on “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone. Our cover of the song is very different to hers. For this song I am playing the keys as it starts with a very stripped back intro with just vocals and keys before all of the other instruments are introduced. This was our first time working on the song since our first gig and it went very well. It still needs some work before the gig but it has a lot of potential. This is going to be our opening song as it gets people up and in the mood. We used it for our opening last time and it was good. Our plans for next week are to continue working on the set list ready for the gig and working on getting the new songs ready as well.
