Band Rehearsals.

Todays rehearsal was spent going through the songs we have started going over. We spent the end of the session discussing what over songs we could do as a band and what the arrangements should be for those songs.

We started the session by going over “Everlong’ by Foo Fighters. This song is one of our weaker songs and is the one we need to rehearse a lot more. To help improve my confidence with the song I sat through our break listening to the song and playing along with the bass. After doing this a couple of times, I was far more confident with the song and we have started to improve as a band with our performance of the song. This is still a song we need to work on and get better at. We moved on to rehearsing “In Bloom” by Nirvana. This is personally one of the better songs we do as a band, as the transitions between parts are a lot more efficient and smooth. This song, I have rehearse a lot, and I am now far more confident with this song and can play it without having to look at the music. We then moved on to rehearsing “Wicked Game” this is our own arrangement and is our best song as a band as the transitions are very smooth and the whole arrangement is very tight. After the break we went through ‘Everlong’ again as its the weakest song and then we spent a short while discussing other covers we could do and how we could arrange them.
