Band Rehearsals, Preparing for the gig on June 5th. Today we spent the day in the rehearsal rooms to prepare for the gig. We have been going through the songs, multiple times to ensure that the songs are performed seamlessly. We have been going through the songs as if we were performing them. So we have been going through the songs in order of the set lists and straight after one another. This is so that we can rehearse not only the songs but the transitions between them. The first song, ‘Feeling Good’ I will be performing it on the keyboard and then for the next song I will be swapping instrument onto the bass guitar ready for ‘In Bloom’ and the rest of the set. The set is currently about 30 minutes which is how long we needed for this performance. The aim for our next rehearsals is to continue performing the set and perfecting what we have been rehearsing before. Since our last rehearsals we have dropped ‘Part of the plan’ one of the songs we were going to play for the gig. But we decided to remove it from the set, as it is in Eb which would mean we would need to change guitars half way through the set. So that we have our guitars and instruments in Eb. We would then have to swap back to the initial guitars to finish the set. With transitions this does not affect the timing of our set massively and we still roughly have a 30 minute set.
