Today is the first day back of Year 2, after a much enjoyed 3 month holiday touring parts of Spain, Portugal, Belgium and France.

Today, we have received our new timetables, which is not as great as any of us would've hoped for. We have hit the ground running and have started to push on with Unit 9 and get working towards the next unit of the course. For unit 9, we have been tasked with creating an educational music tutorial. For this video, we must teach a song or technique that me know and use and share it through a video. These videos will be uploaded to YouTube and available for anyone to watch. For this video, I have listed a few possible pathways to go down and ideas for videos I could create. Firstly, I have considered doing a video on how to play major scales on a piano and how you can work out major scales in all of the keys on the piano. I will also teach people chord spellings and how to construct chords using the scales. This is an important aspect of music theory that every musician must know, and is also a topic that most beginner musicians might not know. I will film the video using a DSLR camera (Canon EOS 70d) at a top down angle over the keyboard and will use screen recordings to insert informations and explanations over the top of the video. I will then record a voice over to overlay on the video to help explain the topic. I will then use adobe Premiere to edit the video and construct all of the aspects together, ready to export as an MP4. Leading to it being uploaded onto YouTube.
